Slovenia Should Legally Protect German-Speaking Community, Says Ebner

Before entering the EU, Slovenia will have to legally protect its German-speaking community, said the Italian deputy in the European Parliament Michl Ebner, who is also the chairman of the negotiating commission with the Slovene Parliament. The statement came on Wednesday during his visit to a cultural centre of 'Kocevarji', a German-speaking group living in southeastern Slovenia near the town of Kocevje.
