Slovene Population Grows in 1999

Ljubljana, 21 April - STATISTCS/POPULATION
The Slovene population grew by 0.48 percent in 1999, i.e. by 9,421, to 1,987,755. At the end of December 1999 the Slovene population comprised of 970,812 men and 1,016,943 women, the National Statistical Office reported.
