Elian Gonzalez is just another stone in a terrifying mosaic of the U.S.-Cuban political dispute and the U.S. legal system. On the one hand he has become a symbol of American Cubans, who have even threatened with civil disobedience, on the other hand the boy is part of U.S. presidential election campaign. Moreover, he has become a precedence in the U.S. legal system - often incomprehensible to Europeans.
