Kucan and Havel Discuss EU and NATO Enlargement

Brdo pri Kranju, 27 April - SLOVENIA/CZECH/REPUBLIC/HAVEL
The Presidents of Slovenia and the Czech Republic, Milan Kucan and Vaclav Havel, focussed on EU enlargement and NATO expansion in their working meeting which took place at Brdo Castle, some 30 km north of Ljubljana, on Thursday. The presidents also discussed the political and economic climate in their countries as well as the situation in Southeastern Europe, chiefly in Yugoslavia, as well as in Chechnya. The EU's response to the new Austrian coalition in which the Freedom Party participates was also touched on.
