Kucan: Every Meeting has Brought one more Common Response to the Call of this New Age

Every one of our annual meetings, which started six years ago in the Czech Republic and represent one of the major stations along the path which is leading Central European countries into Europe as a homeland of all homelands, has brought with it one more common response from Central Europe to the call of this new age. And our talks today appear to be a summation of all our previous reflections on the basic coexistence of Europe and the world in the new millennium, said Slovene President Milan Kucan in a toast to Arpad Goencz, the host to the 7th summit of Central European heads of state. Kucan spoke on behalf of 11 presidents hosted by Goencz, whose presidential mandate expires this year.
