Elan to be Brought Back on Line on Wednesday

Elan, Slovenia's sports goods manufacturer, is to be brought back on line on Wednesday by re-launching the manufacturing of skis after the Slovene Development Corporation (SRD) bought the company from the Croatian majority owner last March. All conditions have been met to start producing skis again, said Chairman of the SRD Management Board Marjan Rekar. "The SRD has secured the necessary funds totalling DEM 20 million," said Rekar, adding that next season Elan would not be in the red anymore.
