SBI and PIX Lowest This Year

The prices of shares continued to fall last week at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange. The SBI share index fell 1.27 percent to 1,697.04 points, while the authorised investment companies' index, the PIX, lost 0.84 percent to 1,262.33 points, both the SBI and PIX recording the lowest value so far in 2000. The overall turnover at the Stock Exchange amounted to SIT 1.5 billion (around 7.4 million euros), of which SIT 820 million or 54 percent was handled in lot deals.
