European Future for the Countries of SE Europe, Says Rupel
Brdo pri Kranju, 8 May - Sir John Kerr, permanent under-secretary of state at the Foreign Office was the first speaker at the international conference dealing with the EU and NATO in Southeastern Europe in the 21st century, which opened at Brdo Castle, some 30 km northwest of Ljubljana, on Monday. Sir Kerr stressed that owing to changed situation in the world now was a unique moment to strengthen relations between the EU and SE Europe. Outgoing Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel was of the opinion that the main task was to build European future for all the countries of SE Europe.
