Slovenia Needs to Modernise Its Armed Forces, Robertson Says
Ljubljana, 11 May - Candidate countries can count on full membership in NATO with all certainty, right after they qualify for it. At the moment they are not in a position to fully contribute to the common security and collective defence of the Alliance. Slovenia has made a great progress and must insist on the path and continue the process of modernising its armed forces, NATO Secretary General George Robertson said in a meeting with Slovene President Milan Kucan on Thursday.
