Ljubljana, 12 May - SPORT/BUKOVEC/OPERATION
Brigita Bukovec, Slovenia's 1996 Atlanta Olympic silver medal winner in 100-m hurdles, was removed growths from the reproductive organs at Ljubljana Central Hospital on Friday morning. After one-hour routine operation which was performed by two surgeons, Bukovec is to leave hospital on Monday and could resume training within a fortnight. Bukovec has previously had similar gynecological problems. She had a cyst removed from the oviduct last year.
