Minor Incident Provoked by Mistake in Translation of Kucan's Speech

Strasbourg, 17 May - The English translation of the speech Slovene President Milan Kucan delivered in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday provoked considerable agitation among Italian legislators as a mistake in the translation made it appear as if Kucan accused Italy of making the solution of bilateral problems the condition for Slovenia's accession to the EU.
