Rupel to Attend Conference on Development of Adriatic-Ionian Area

A Slovene delegation led by outgoing Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel will attend a two-day conference on the development and security in the Adriatic and Ionian area, which will open on Friday at Italy's Ancona. Minister Rupel was asked by Slovene President Milan Kucan to use the occasion to express regret to Italian Foreign Minister Lamberto Dini for the "technical mistake" that occurred in the translation of the president's speech delivered on Wednesday before the European Parliament, the Slovene Foreign Ministry told STA on Thurdsay.
