Slovene Expedition Conquers Lhotse
Ljubljana, 19 May - MOUNTANEERING/LHOTSE
Slovene expedition of mountaineers 'Lhotse 2000' on Friday at 10.25 a.m. CET successfully conquered the top of this Himalayan mountain, fourth highest in the world (8,516m / 27,920 ft). Slovene mountaineers Milan Romih and Aco Pepevnik reached the top tired, as they had to wade through deep snow without additional oxygen supply, head of the expedition Franc Gajsek reported.
