Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 13 through 19 May
Ljubljana, 20 May - The attention of Slovenia remained firmly centred on the government crisis which moved into its sixth week. On Saturday a week ago, the Prime Minister-Designate, Andrej Bajuk, filed his list of 16 ministerial candidates in parliament. This list was slightly amended this week as Bajuk chose to propose Zvonko Ivanusic for Finance Minister, changing his earlier decision to head that ministry himself. All the proposed minister, except Ivanusic, appeared before the competent parliamentary committees during the latter part of the week, and only four out of the sixteen managed to be endorsed.
