Reception at the 10th Anniversary of Slovenia's Foreign Policy
Ljubljana, 22 May - FOREIGN/POLICY/ANNIVESARY
"A new decade of Slovenia's foreign policy is beginning. Our homeland will expand and become relative. Our wider homeland will, I hope soon, be Europe. This was - in addition to our decision for NATO - our first foreign policy task," said outgoing Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at a reception held on Monday evening celebrating the 10th anniversary of Slovenia's independent foreign policy. The reception, organised by Minister Rupel, was attended by foreign diplomats, Slovene President Milan Kucan, Speaker of the Slovene Parliament Janez Podobnik and former Slovene foreign ministers Boris Frlec, Zoran Thaler and Lojze Peterle.
