Adamkus: Small and Big Countries Have the Same Rights
Ljubljana, 23 May - Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus, who arrived in Slovenia for a two-day official visit earlier today, met his host, Slovene President Milan Kucan. The two presidents stressed their countries share similar, that is the same views on vital interests regarding their European future, i.e. EU and NATO membership. The officials assessed the visit as the continuation and strengthening of fruitful co-operation that goes back to the period when both countries embarked upon the part of independence at the beginning of 1990s. Kucan and Adamkus also touched on the situation in the Balkans and Russia as well as on relations with both countries' neighbours.
