Company Eti Celebrates 50 Anniversary

Izlake, 25 May - The Slovene company Eti Elektroelement from Izlake, some 40 km east of Ljubljana, is these days celebrating its 50th anniversary. At the main celebration, which took place on Thursday, Slovene President Milan Kucan said that Eti can be placed in the small group of Slovene companies that are mainly export- and Europe-orientated and technologically modernised. He expressed his conviction that the current development of the company indicates that its vision of development would continue. Director of the company Joze Smrkolj stressed that "a company has grown from a small workshop condemned to vegetation and that company is now placed on all economic maps of the world". On Thursday, Eti also received the environmental certificate ISO 14001.
