Amnesty International Slovenia Shows Support for Refugees

Ljubljana, 30 May - Amnesty International(AI) Slovenia in co-operation with the refugee community will organise a protest "sitting" on Tuesday in support for the refugees in Slovenia. This peaceful form of protest against the government policy towards refugees is intended to show solidarity with the refugees in their struggle to keep the refugee centre in Ljubljana, which the government intends to close down. The protest will take place every Tuesday at the mentioned refugee centre. A letter of protest and a petition to keep the centre was also addressed to the Government Office for Immigration and Refugees, reported the AI Slovenia.
