Metal Industry Records Higher Profit in 1999
Ljubljana, 31 May - Slovenia's metal industry concluded 1999 with profits of SIT 643 billion (around 3.1 billion euros), which was 2.5 percent less than the year before. Companies of this sector increased their profits in 1999 by 11.9 percent to SIT 24.4 billion (119 million euros) and recorded lower losses, is written in a report on last year's results in the sector, which has been adopted by administration board of the association of the metal industry at the Slovene Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
