Parliament's Rules Do Not Allow Extension of Deadline for New Gov't List

Ljubljana, 31 May - The parliamentary rules of procedure provide no basis to extend the deadline by which the prime minister-designate has to submit a new list of ministerial candidates, the National Assembly Speaker Janez Podobnik said in his answer to the Supreme Court senate for administrative disputes in referrence to the request by Prime Minister-Designate Andrej Bajuk and 16 ministrial candidates that the ten-day period in which the list has to be sumbitted should start running as of the day when the court's ruling in the case is handed to the parties in dispute.
