Changes at Finance Ministry are a "Problem", However Not Bad, Senjur Says

Ljubljana, 1 July - Minister for Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur told the daily Delo on Saturday that in the five months before elections great and pleasing results can not be reached. In his opinion it would be a great achievement if Andrej Bajuk's government uses the current favourable trends on the European market and reaches the forecast 4.5 to 5 percent annual economic growth, keeps inflation a bit over seven percent and ensures that the current account deficit remains at around three percent of the GDP. Employment should also keep falling, while the budget should not "explode". "If the government could keep the same economic picture until the end of the year, than no one could charge it with making mistakes which will be seen in the next few years," said Senjur.
