SDS Expresses Indignation, SLS+SKD Believes it Made Right Decision
Ljubljana, 14 July - The Social Democrats (SDS) expressed their indignation on Friday with the decision of their fellow government coalition partner, the SLS+SKD Slovene People's Party, to support the proposal to begin a process by which the Constitution would be amended so as to write in it the proportional representation system with certain supplements. Deputy President of the SDS Milan Zver labeled the move unusual and accused the SLS+SKD of joining forces with the opposition United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD), Liberal Democracy (LDS) and Pensioner Party (DeSUS) in forming a coalition that does not wish to abide the people's volition. SLS+SKD Franc Zagozen countered those claims saying that the majority of the SLS+SKD believe that the changing of the constitution is the best possible move that the party could make at this late stage.
