European Commissioner for Enlargement to Pay His First Official Visit to Slovenia

European Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen will arrive on his first official visit to Slovenia on Monday. Apart from his host, Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle, the EU official will meet Slovene President Milan Kucan and Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk and address the parliament following talks with Speaker Janez Podobnik. Before his departure on Tuesday evening, Verheugen is scheduled to meet the former Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, who was still in office at the time Verheugen was invited to visit Slovenia.
