Ljubljana, 6 January - MINISTER PETERLE INFORMS NATO OF SLOVENIAN VIEWS=
Slovenia is undergoing major political, economic and security status changes. As a result, Slovenia is very sensitive to security issues. The proposed Partnership for Peace programme is a timely response to certain problems encountered by the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. It is also a step in the right direction, said Peterle in his letter. He concluded by emphasising Slovenia's interest in closer ties with NATO.
