Foreign Minister Peterle Says He May Decide to Leave His Party Next Week
Ljubljana, 21 July - Following recent disagreements between both ruling coalition partners, the Social Democratic Party (SDS) and the SLS+SKD Slovene People's Party, Foreign Minister and vice-president of SLS+SKD Lojze Peterle announced on Friday that he might leave SLS+SKD should matters proceed in the indicated direction. Former SKD and SLS merged on the supposition that they would respect people's will, constitutional order and plurality voting system, Peterle told Radio Slovenia.
