Record Breaking Slovene Swimmer Reaches Novi Sad
Novi Sad, 26 July - Slovene swimmer Martin Strel, who is attempting to swim the length of the Danube river in a sign of peace, friendship and clean waters, reached Novi Sad, Yugoslavia, on Tuesday. Strel's record-breaking swim began on 25 June at the source of the Danube and is expected to conclude at the mouth of the river in the Black Sea on 24 August. The Slovene swimmer has already covered 1,650 kilometres of the 2,680 kilometre journey.
