Slovene Medical Unit Participating in Joint Forge Returns Home

Ljubljana, 31 July - The first medical unit of the Slovene Army to participate in the Joint Forge peace-keeping operation in Bosnia returned to Slovenia on Monday. The unit which mainly offered health care for members of the SFOR forces, but on occassion also catered for the local population, spent six months in Bosnia. To mark their arrival, the deputy chief-of-staff of the Slovene Armed Forces, Joze Landeker, handed special awards to the participants of the unit, which also included reserve officers.
