National Council Commission Supports New Proposals for Law on Citizenship
Ljubljana, 10 January - NATIONAL COUNCIL/COMMISSION/POLITICAL/SYSTEM/CITIZENSHIP
After discussing the latest bill on additions and changes to the Law on Citizenship, the National Council Commission for the Political System voted to approve the proposals. The text of the current changes to the law no longer includes a provision qualifying Slovenian citizens as those by birth or naturalised, which prompted the National Council to use a suspension veto on the proposed amendments to the Law on Citizenship in December.
