Slovene President Kucan to Attend Millennium Summit in New York

Ljubljana, 4 September - Slovene President Milan Kucan will take part in the Millennium Summit which is to take place between 6 through 8 September in New York and at which Presidents, Prime Minister, Kings and other high representatives from 160 countries, members of the UN, are expected to gather. This will be the largest gathering of Presidents or governments of countries in history. As part of his attendance, President Kucan is expected to give a speech on the topic of humanitarian intervention in crisis points around the world before the UN General Assembly on 7 September. The Slovene President is also expected to use the opportunity to hold numerous bilateral meetings.
