Successful Trilateral Meeting Of Finance Ministers

Ljubljana, 4 September - The fifth trilateral meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors from Austria, Hungary and Slovenia, which took place over two days in Maribor and was of a consultation nature, was very successfull according to Slovene Finance Minister Zvonko Ivanusic. At Monday's press conference following the meeting Ivanusic expressed that the finance ministers and central bank governors from the three neighbouring countries exchanged experiences with the implementation of structural reforms in the field of pension and health insurance, as well as fiscal policies and public finances. Ivanusic also stressed that the respect of the Maastricht conditions is necessary for Slovenia alone and not because of the European Union.
