National Party Files Interpellation Motion Proposal Against Minister Peterle

Ljubljana, 5 September - The opposition Slovene National Party (SNS) filed an interpellation motion against Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle, signed by all three lawmakers of the SNS, as well as two lawmakers from the opposition Party of Retired Persons (DeSUS) and six opposition United List of Social Democrats (ZLSD) MPs. The motion labels Peterle's actions, concerning the agreement to Slovene-Austrian expert talks on the AVNOJ decisions and related denationalisation issues during a meeting with Austria's Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner, as against national interests and against the constitution. A further explanation states that this act involves all the elements of an attack on the sovereignty of a state.
