Peterle Discusses Succession, Montenegro, and UN Peace Operations with US Official

Ljubljana, 5 September - Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle received charge d'affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana Trevor Evans on Tuesday. In view of the upcoming 55th session of the UN General Assembly Peterle pointed out the importance of solving the question of succession and the status of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) at the UN as these issues are a precondition for the normalisation and stabilisation in Southeastern Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
