Report on International Religious Freedom Positive About Slovenia

New York, 6 September - "The (Slovene) Constitution provides for freedom of religion, and the Government respects this right in practice," it is written in the 2000 Annual Report on International Religious Freedom presented by U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright in New York on Tuesday. The report, which is examined by the U.S. congress, is intended to describe the status of religious freedom in each foreign country, as well as the government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations and individuals, in addition to U.S. policies used to promote religious freedom around the world.
