The Post of Slovenia Records Loses of SIT 215 Million in First Half of 2000
Maribor, 7 September - Although the Post of Slovenia performed as many as 278 million services in the first half of the year, which was a rise of 15 percent compared to the same period last year, the company closed the first six months of 2000 with loses of SIT 215 million (around 1 million euros). The loses were a result of low prices of services involving letters, which fall within services performed by a compulsory economic public agency. As director of the Post of Slovenia Marija Ribic told the press on Thursday, the company will implement a series of measures to finish the business year with profit despite foreseen loses of SIT 525 million (2.5 million euros).
