Poets Discuss the Importance and Role of Literature at Vilenica

Sežana, 7 September - Over 80 poets and writers, translators, editors, publishers and intellectuals from 28 countries, which on Wednesday gathered in Slovenia for a four-day event entitled Vilenica 2000, on Thursday discussed the importance and the role of literature today. The central discussion within this year's Vilenica gathering was opened by Swiss writer Friederike Kretzen and Slovene poet Niko Grafenauer.
