Liberal Democrats Hold a Congress Ahead of Parliamentary Elections
Ljubljana, 8 September - Of all Slovene political parties, the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS) is best qualified to face future and called to provide new development quality, stressed LDS president Janez Drnovsek in his opening speech at the party congress held on Friday ahead of the parliamentary elections. The congress, attended by 336 of 490 delegates, is expected to adopt the party's programme for its performance at the October elections. On Saturday, a convention will follow with presentation of LDS candidates at the upcoming elections.
