Final Decision on SDS's Participation in Elections to Be Taken at Congress

Ljubljana, 9 September - Over 40 delegates of the coalition Social Democratic Party will gather on Saturday for a party congress prior to this year's general elections. The congress will take a decision whether the SDS will partake in parliamentary elections after it has announced its plan to boycott them if they are not carried out under majority electoral system. Regardless of the endorsement of proportional representation earlier this year, the SDS executive board will suggest to delegates that the party should go to the polls.
