President Kucan Meets With Qatari Emir, Discusses UN Reforms

Ljubljana, 9 September - On the last day of the UN Millennium Summit Slovene President Milan Kucan, who labelled the largest assembly of world leaders in history as an organised opportunity for the United Nations to face the truth about itself and the truth about the modern world, met with Qatari Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani yesterday. Kucan also took part in a reception organised to mark the Macedonian national day and signed a declaration on tolerance and diversity as well as two protocols to the Convention on children's rights and to the Convention on children in armed conflicts.
