Former Foreign Minister Believes AVNOJ Decisions Could Be Used to Stop EU Enlargement

Ljubljana, 9 September - Former Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel believes that the story on the abolition of the AVNOJ decisions could have deeper roots, as it could be used by those who wish to stop EU enlargement. Rupel told Saturday's edition of the daily Dnevnik that Austria could cause trouble for Slovenia's EU integration bid, that is why it must be convinced that good relations are beneficial for both countries and for Austria to become our advocate in the EU. This could be reached, as Austria needs proof of its good intentions and unselfishness.
