Delo: Steadfast Prices of Crude Oil

The pressures of leading industrial countries that OPEC ministers should increase at their meeting in Vienna on Sunday OPEC's official daily output of crude oil were somehow misleading; the impression was producers and consumers are on two different sides. The truth, however is more complicated. Oil producers neither believe too high prices of oil are entirely positive. They fear consumers might in the long run opt for other sources of energy. High prices could also cause economic recession and consequently lower demand for oil.
