One of the Longest Trials Begins in Slovenia

Maribor, 11 September - A lengthy trial during which over 240 witnesses are to be heard, began at the Maribor district court on Monday. The defendants Manica and Marjan Care, the owners of the company Zdenex, are accused of acquiring over SIT 4 billion (19 million euros) by abusing their positions. In addition to that, entrepreneur Samo Zigman is accussed of two criminal acts of money laundering.
