Slovenia to Become Associated Member of Eurofer Soon, Says Von Huelsen

Ljubljana, 12 September - Slovenia is expected to become an associated member of the European Association of Steel Producers (Eurofer) as soon as this year, said general director of Eurofer, Dietrich von Huelsen after meeting Slovene Minister of Economic Affairs Joze Zagozen in Ljubljana on Tuesday. Von Huelsen, who arrived in Slovenia on Monday, expressed satisfaction over the restructuring programme of Slovene steelworks, pointing out that the Slovene steel industry should lower the costs and improve the quality to survive the stiff European competition.
