Brussels Gives Green Light to Slovenia's Rural Development Programme
Brussels, 13 September - Slovenia's seven-year programme of rural development was given the green light by the EU board for rural areas and agrarian structures on Wednesday. By getting the go-ahead on the project, Slovenia has met one of the basic conditions to qualify for receiving SAPARD funds which are intended to help EU candidate countries from Central Europe in agriculture. Approval is needed also from the European Commission, which however is a formality.
