Changes of Constitution Necessary, But There Is Not Enough Time

Ljubljana, 15 September - The parliamentary commission for electoral system and constitutional amendments will not propose to parliament to file a procedure to amend the Constitution so as to simplify the procedure of appointing the prime minister and other ministers, since the majority of the commission believes that there is not enough time for these changes, which are indeed necessary. This is why the commission, led by Speaker of Parliament Janez Podobnik, proposed to the parliament that will be formed after the elections to adopt the proposed amendments as soon as possible.
