Slovene President Kucan Visits Olympic Village
Sydney, 16 September - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Saturday visited the Olympic village in Sydney, where he spent over two hours among Slovene athletes. He visited the house of the Slovene rowing team, especially the room of the world champions in double scull, Iztok Cop and Luka Spik. He particularly greeted the long-distance jumper Gregor Cankar, who won the silver medal at the world championships last year.
