Slovene Canoeist Hocevar Comes in 7th
Sydney, 18 September - Slovene canoeist Simon Hocevar placed 7th in the Olympic games finals, after he came in 6th after the first run. Thus Hocevar achieved the best result of a Slovene canoeist at the Olympics. The winner of the competition was Frenchman Tomy Estanguet, followed by the world champion Michal Martikan, and Juraj Mincik, both from Slovakia.
