Potocnik Optimistic about the Negotiations with the EU
Ljubljana, 21 September - Slovenia is currently negotiating about seventeen chapters of the European acquis; five of them could be closed as the negotiating work has already been done, while the rest can be divided into two groups - the first includes the chapters with major problems about which intense negotiations will continue next year, and the second that comprises the chapters for which negotiations will be concluded in the so-called final package, Janez Potocnik, head of the Slovene core negotiating team, told press after his meeting with Jaime Garcia Lombardero, in charge of Slovenia in the European Commission, on Thursday in Ljubljana.
