Slovene Hammer Thrower Fails to Reach Final, Takes 38th Place

Sydney, 23 September - Slovenia's Primoz Kozmus failed to reach the Olympic final in the hammer throw after throwing a best of 68.83 metres. His best throw was good enough to secure him 38th place in the qualification stages. The leader in the qualifications was Igor Astapkovich from Belarus with a throw of 79.81 metres.
