Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 16 to 22 September
Ljubljana, 23 September - Slovene Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk on Tuesday visited Brussels, where he met NATO representatives, submitting to them the Slovene implementation programme of the Membership Action Plan (MAP). Bajuk also paid a visit to the European Commission, where he met its president Romano Prodi and other officials. This was the first visit of a Slovene prime minister to the European Commission after 1994. The visit of Jaime Garcia Lombardero, the European Commission official in charge of Slovenia, to Slovenia also focused on Slovenia's readiness to join the EU.
