More Money for Less Waste
Ljubljana, 25 September - Slovenia generates around 900,000 tonnes of waste, which finishes up on one of 50 more or less adequately organised dumpsites most of which are not environmentally safe, or on one of the 60,000 wild dumpsites. The Waste Management Strategy, which was adopted in 1996, anticipates a 50-percent reduction in the amount of waste that ends up on dumping grounds.
